The 2005 Jeep Wrangler has a freon capacity of 20 ounces. It is recommended to use r-134a refrigerant. The air conditioning system in Your car needs freon to keep the cabin area cool. The cost of getting it replaced is between $80 and $100 for labor and between $57 and $80 for parts. If You'd rather do it Yourself, it is a relatively easy process which involves opening the hood and locating the low pressure port. When Your compressor kicks on, add the freon to the correct pressure. Don't forget to replace the low pressure port cap when You're finished. The entire procedure should take a half hour to 45 minutes to complete. Unless You live in a very hot climate, a freon refill will typically last about three years.

The 2005 Jeep Wrangler does not use Freon in its A/C system, it uses R134a. To fully charge the 2005 Wrangler's A/C system you'll need 20 ounces of R134a and 6 ounces of PAG 46 oil.

ANGELA R YOUR ASUMPTION IS ACTUALLY INCORRECT. R134A IS FREON THE R134A IS A TYPE OF FREON AS APPOSED TO THE OLDER R12 FREON THA WAS USED IN THE 1980S UP TO THE EARLY TO MID 1990S.
