The 2017 Ford Expedition came standard with a 3.5 L V6 engine across all trim levels and there were no upgrade option choices for any other motor. This engine is going to need to run on full synthetic 5W-30 motor oil. You will have a capacity of 6 US quarts when the filter is included. This means You're going to need to purchase one large jug of 5 quarts and a single 1 quart jug in order to save Yourself some money. The total cost for fluids will be between $30 and $40. You're going to need to change out the oil every 5,000 miles in this vehicle.

The Expedition , like all other vehicles, requires routine maintenance. If you choose to, you can change your own oil. This is recommended at least once a year. The Expedition requires 6 quarts of 5W-30 premium synthetic blend oil. The recommended brand is Motorcraft. Care must be made not to use the incorrect oil as this can cause damage to the engine and it can wear out prematurely.
