The 2018 Hyundai Sonata came standard with a 1.6L 4Cylinder engine but also had two upgrade options, the first being a 2.0L 4Cylinder and the 2nd one being a 2.4L 4Cylinder. The standard engine will have an oil capacity of 4.8 US quarts while the 2.0L will need to use 4.3 US quarts and finally the 2.4L will need to be filled up with 5.1 US quarts. All of these numbers are when the filter is included. No matter which model You have they will all need to run on 5W-20 synthetic motor oil. You'll need to change out the oil every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.

For the 2.4 liter Sonata, does it use 5.1 quarts of oil every 3 months, 4 months, weeks, days or what?

5.1 quarts of oil is how much all of the 2.4 liter 2018 Hyundai Sonata models use. Those trim levels are the SE, the SEL, the SEL +, the Sport, the Sport +, the Limited, and the Limited +. The Sonatas with a 2.0 liter engine, the 2.0T Sport, the 2.0T Limited and the 2.0T Limited +, also hold 5.1 quarts of oil. The smallest engine out of the bunch, the 1.6 liter Hyundai Sonata ECO used 4.8 quarts of oil. Hyundai also has a few hybrid models in their 2018 Sonata line up. The Sonata SE, the Limited hybrid, the Sonata plug-in hybrid, and the Sonata Limited plug-in hybrid all hold 4.3 quarts of oil.
