The Jeep Liberty 3.7 liter engine is equipped with 5 US quarts or 4.7 liters of 5W-30 of motor oil, and requires scheduled oil and filter changes every 7,500-10,000 miles or 12 months if using fully synthetic, or every 3,000-5,000 miles or 6 months, if using conventional oil. The advantages to using synthetic vs conventional products include better lubrication between moving parts, a longer interval between service appointments and more effectiveness under adverse weather conditions, especially in colder temperatures. Also branded lubricants like Penzoil or Castrol, have been shown to provide up to 2x more protection and corrosion prevention than aftermarket replacements. Cost for a lube and filter job for the Jeep Liberty ranges between $117-$130 in parts and labor.
Why is it you say it takes 5w-30 while the oil fill spout says 5w-20. Maybe this type of information is why so many died permanently.oh and I have been putting 5w-20 in since I bought it with 104,000 I currently have 217,000 miles. So yeah I might not know how many quarts it takes but I know I can't trust this information
