The 2009 Toyota RAV4 with the 2.5l engine takeS4.6 quarts of 0w-20 (recommended) synthetic oil or 5w-20 synthetic oil; The 3.5l engine takeS6.4 quarts of 0w-20 synthetic oil or 5w-20 synthetic oil. It is recommended to change Your oil every 7,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. You can extend Your engine life, get better gas mileage, and have better performance if You change Your oil regularly. You can change the oil Yourself, just remember when You change the oil to also change out the oil filter with a new one. There are also several places like the Toyota dealership, Jiffy Lube, and Firestone Auto Care that do oil changes as well.
