For the 2010 Ford Taurus with a V6 engine You're gonna need 5.5 quarts of oil. The recommended oil type to use is Motorcraft SAE 5W-20 Full Synthetic or synthetic blend but if that's not available You can use an equivalent brand. If You are going to be changing the oil Yourself You can probably find A5 qt bottle of a compatible oil for around $25 and You'll also need a new filter which shouldn't cost You more than $12. If You do go with the synthetic oil than You should stick with the oil change schedule of 7,500 miles but if You decide on conventional oil You will want to change it every 5,000 miles instead. -
