A Ford Escape can hold approximately 4 quarts of transmission fluid. To change the transmission fluid You will want to first make sure the car is level on the ground and then pop the hood open. Now locate the transmission fluid container, it should be on or near the transmission itself, and find the dipstick. Pull it out and wipe it clean, then put it back in and pull it back out. Note the amount of fluid it says is in there, and how much You need to put in to fill the container. Use a funnel and top of the container until it is full, or right at full. Being a smidge under is fine, but do not overfill. Now close up the container and You are good to go.

When it is completely drained. What does take to completely fill it. I have put in 5 quarts. I think it needs more.

The 2013-2019 Escape does not have a dip stick to check the transmission fluid. The proper procedure can be found by watching this link. Https://youtu.be/rvljKBa9rIs

Depends neither you nor the 1sr answerer specified. The earlier Ford Escape /Mazda Tributes w the 3.0v6 takes I think around 10.7?Quarts total drain+torque converter. The 3.5-4 drains comes out of bottom of pan w a square 3/8" drive size threaded plug, youdrainodrainout about 1/3 of total atf at a time, plug refill same amount about 3.5-4 quarts new..

..the older escapes v6 3.0l has no servicable filter to change except when dropping the tranny & opening up the case, big $ job! Just drain& fill 3 times every 30k-50k miles 3 times , 1st drain- refill drive a while up to few or 500 miles maybe if shifting fine then repeat. DO NOT OVERFILL, CHECK THE DIPSTICK AT 3 QUARTS REFILLING THROUGH THE DIPSTICK TUBE W A LONG FUNNEL. GET IT JUST RIGHT A LITTLE AT A TIME TILL IN THE CROSSHATCHES CLOSE TO FULL OVER LOW MARK. YOU HAVE TO PUT DIPSTICK BACK IN & CHECK RUNNING ALSO WARM , SHIFT THROUGH THE GEARS A FEW TIMES. WHEN FULL TAKE FOR A SPIN ROUND THE BLOCK FOR AFEW5FEW5- MINS.

How come some people say 3 someday 10 and 12 qts. If it's empty and not shifting means it's super low and needs bout 5 or 6 he'll could even take the 12 that's it's supposed to hold.just depends on how low it is
