The Ford Fusion transmission fluid capacity iS5.7 quarts. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most critical parts of the vehicle. You will face issues at some point. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be solved quickly. Delayed shifts can cause acceleration issues. The transmission may slip. You might experience shudders. Hard shifts may arise and that is no good. There could be jerking. The gears can become stuck.
I’ve never dealt with a transmission!! Ithink I may be in trouble! Cannot afford 10 quarts to flush it out. Can Ijust drain the old transmission fluid and fill back up with new?

My 2018 fusion hybrid is making that really loud noise. What’s the right transmission fluid for the vehicle?

Most ford fusions from 2006 to recent years hold three quarts of transmission fluid.
Ford says transmission and coolant change at 100,000. Every 30K is a crazy waste of resources and money. But, if it makes you happy - - - -

Yes, you can Billy H. A Flush is 10 but a drain and fill would be around 5QTS

As I've been told, there is no access to the filter, except for splitting the case apart. So rather than gambling with the failure and expense, you change it to help keep the filter from getting stopped up and burning the pump up and destroying the transmission.
How much transmission fluid does a 2018 Ford fusion take, for drain and fill?
