If You notice that You need to adjust the torsion bars on Your Ram 1500 then it is a pretty simple process. You will need to just get beneath the vehicle to start. You can either lift the vehicle if You have access to a two or four post lift, or You can do it on the ground and slide underneath using a creeper. You will want to locate Your torsion bar and then find the adjustment nut that is on it. You will need a torsion key to be able to break the nut loose. From there You will be able to use an open ended wrench to either make it looser or tighter depending on what You want to do.

To change the torsion bar on the dodge ram 1500 you are going to jack up the vehicle on the wheel to adjust it, and you are going to place the frame rail on the jack stand. ... Crawl underneath the vehicle and through the torsion bar on the door. Change the torsion bar with the ratchet lower the chassis and test the frame clearances to the ground.
