Unfortunately, there's no way to calibrate the touch screen in the 2014 Toyota Camry. If You're having issues with the area of the screen that You touch versus the area that accepts Your input, You're not alone; Toyota put out technical service bulletin TSB-0172-16 in response to this issue. They'll replace Your screen free of charge under the basic warranty, which iS36,000 miles or three years. Since it's a 2014, there's an overwhelming chance that You no longer still have any sort of warranty. With that said, it's probably a better choice to upgrade to a better aftermarket head unit, since the manufacturer's original can cost You in the neighborhood of $2,000. Compatible aftermarket units run between $500 and $1,000, and include features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which the OEM does not.

It should be from the start. If the screen is not working then you have a defect and may need to get it fixed.
