How to calibrate toyota camry touch screen?

The Toyota Camry's proprietary Etune technology needs calibration if the touchscreen is not accessible at the lower bottom of the display or users must make selections almost one inch to the right of their displayed position. In both circumstances, the Camry's touch screen is not responding accurately. Unfortunately, unless a vehicle is under warranty, Toyota offers no calibration solution to the issue. Owners have had to replace the entire radio to solve the problem. Some replacements have been paid for by Toyota, while other owners have opted to purchase non-Toyota Audio equipment like Kenwood. When a new radio is installed, the touch calibration issues disappear. Alternatively, some users employ a credit card to tap the bottom of the screen to access the lower portion of the display.

If your toyota camry etune screen is out of sync you should try updating the software taking the following steps: make sure your car is turned on and then turn on the audio system. Select the apps button which will bring you to the dash. Insert the usb stick into the usb port. After a slight delay, the screen will prompt you to update the software. Towards the end of the update, your screen will go black for a few seconds.

Soft reset. Turn engine on...press power button on twice on the car. When the screen display turns on, press and hold power/volume button for about 12 seconds. Screen will go on and of the display. That's it. This one solved the calibration issue on my screen where I have to press 1 inch to the right of the actual button.

Tried the soft rest and it did not work on my 2016 Camry Hybrid. Called Toyota and they just took my information and said I would get a call if they find a solution. 2 different dealers offered to replace the unit for $1,200 which I declined. Don't want to risk getting another bad unit on my dime again.

Yes the Credit Card tricked worked! Thank you so much!!!! Gently use a credit card to almost slide at the end of the bottom of the screen where it meets the dashboard and it selected the bottom button that I needed to connect my phone for Bluetooth. Thank you so much again!°°

In my 2015 Camry SE both the screen and steering wheel controls for the radio and Bluetooth had stopped functioning. I found a YT video on replacing the screen (digitizer) and using the accompanying link bought a replacement digitizer for ~$14 on E-Bay. I then removed and replaced the digitizer. It took about two hours. The steering wheel controls are now fully operational, but the touch screen remains non-responsive. This fix is pretty much okay as I can use the steering wheel control for everything I need except resetting the clock. It was a cheap fix!
