To change the cabin air filter in a 2013 Chevy Silverado You will need a quarter inch drive 7-millimeter and ¼-inch socket and ratchet. You have to remove two 7-mm screws from the black plastic cover below the glove box. The firSTScrew is on the right side, next to the kick panel and the second is near the firewall, almoSTStraight down from the glovebox handle. Carefully pull down the cover, there is another screw near the transmission hump, it doesnt need to be removed. To the left of the electrical connector, there is a ¼-inch screw that needs removed. Once the screw is removed, pull down the door to expose the filter. The filter will be snug inside the housing, just flex it back and forth to remove it. Just reverse the process to install the new one.
