To change the fuel pump on a 2013 Chevy Cruze You will first need to relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Remove the gas cap for a couple seconds and then put it back in. Locate the SC-HRader valve on the fuELRail and remove the cap put a Fuel pressure test gauge adapter on the valve and connect a fuel pressure gauge with a bleeder hose to drain the gas out of the fuel system. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and then Jack the rear of the car up and place it on jackstands and remove the passenger rear wheel and inner fender splash shield, behind the shield release the electrical connector. Remove the muffler and loosen the exhauSTStraps. Use a siphoning pump to remove the gas from the tank. Disconnect the fuel supply line, vent pipe, fuel tank filler hose, and the fuel tank filler vent pipe. Place a jack with a piece of plywood on it under the tank and raise it to touch the bottom. Remove the tank strap bolts and lift and maneuver the tank to clear the exhaust. Disconnect the electrical connector for the fuel pump module and sensor and pull the fuel line connectors off. Unscrew the fuel pump fuel level sending unit module lock ring by turning it counterclockwise. Lift the pump out of the tank, takeng care not to bend the level sensor and arm.
