To reprogRam the keyless entry pad on a Ford Edge, type in the factory code found in the owner's manual. Within 5 seconds, press the 1-2 button, and enter 5 digits that are personal and simple to remember. New numbers must be pressed within 5 seconds of one another to be stored by the Edge. It's not advisable to use birthdates or any other significant digits that could be accessible to a non-driver. Press the 1-2 button again to store the driver's information and set the new code. Your vehicle may be equipped to record a second entry code for an additional driver. Follow the steps above but save with the 3-4 button. The Edge's doors will automatically lock and then unlock to confirm the new settings.
