Disabling the auto stop feature in Your 2018 Chevrolet Malibu is an easy task. It will only take You about 3 to 4 minutes. The first thing You need to do is make sure You're sitting on the driver's side of Your vehicle. Next, check to see if there is a start/stop deactivation switch on Your dashboard, likely to the right of Your steering wheel. If not, You will need to shift gears into the L, or low gear, position. Repeat thiS5 more times, for a total of 6 renditions. This should cause the number SRX to appear on Your stereo display screen. The start/stop function should now be fully disabled.

None of the above answers are correct. To disable the auto stop in your 2016- 2019 Malibu, turn car off. Pop the hood. Right next to where the hood latch is, there is an electrical connector. Unplug this connector. Protect both the female and male ends to prevent water damage. Close the hood. Your done...

Put your shifter in theL position and count up 6 times until it shows 6 on your display. This will deactivate the stop start function. You must do this every time you start the car' I have a 18 Malibu so I know this works. Hope this helps.

Could u not pull into L gear then as soon as u r moving shift right back into Drive???? Instead of shifting up manually??
