To disable the alarm on a 2003 Ford Explorer You will need to close the passenger side door and put the key in. Turn the ignition to on and the alarm should stop pinging. There is no way to turn it off permanently, however, if You can find the fuse that powers the alarm then You can shut it down. This will depend on what else that fuse powers, however.
