To disable Your seatbelt alarm on Your Ford Escape first turn the engine off. Remove the key. Step on the parking brake pedal to set the parking brake. Unbuckle the seat belt. Insert the key into the ignition. Turn it to the "On" position but do not crank the engine. Allow enough time for the seat belt light to shut off; this takes about 60 to 90 seconds.Buckle then unbuckle the seat belt three times. Look at the odometer. The warning light will come on again; then it will turn off. Immediately after it turns off, buckle and unbuckle the seat belt. Ford allows its customers the option of disabling the seat belt alarm if desired, but Ford does not recommend doing so.

Sit in the driver's seat with the engine off. Step on the brake pedal to set the break and unbuckle the seatbelt. Turn the ignition on, but do not turn on the engine. Buckle and then unbuckle the seatbelt three times, the warning light will come on and then off again. After it turns off, buckle and then unbuckle the seatbelt.
Just did this in a 2019, but it took probably 24 times, and then when the light came back on, I Had to buckle and unbuckle two more times for it to disappear
