From time to time, You may find Yourself with a chassis stabilization error on Your BMW vehicle. This can be accompanied by a reduction in engine power, the illumination of Your check engine dash light, limp mode enablement, vehicle speed limitations, or cabin vibration. Chassis stabilization is, however, a generic error; You should read out the OBD-II fault codes to find a more specific diagnosis. You're either looking at an issue with the suspension, the engine, or the transmission when You receive this dash error -- suspension is most likely. The only way to reset the system is to safely pull over, turn off the engine, wait five minutes, and restart the vehicle. It's possible that the faults will persist -- in this case, the underlying issues need to be identified and fixed before the warning will go away.

If your BMW Chassis stabilazation is illuminated you could be experiencing an issue with your electronic steering unit, wiring, or steering rack. Try resetting first, then get your vehicle diagnosed.

Yes! I received this error in my 2017 430i. I was panicked because I live in Hawaii (Big Island), and our local Hilo German auto shop has closed. I think it reset. Thank God. Because I'd have to take it over to Kona.
My steering wheel was not completely straight I got to shop and the did alignment after alignment it show me the chassis stabilization Can someone tell why it happened?
My 2016 X1 is giving me same code and not allowing me to drive the car because it won’t turn on, last week few minutes after I turned on the AC I smelled a strong indescribable odor, I think I need new brakes
