The best way to fix dim headlights in a Cadillac SRX is to purchase new bulbs.
You will find reports on the internet that there is an issue with the coating on the reflectors of the headlamps. Changing the bulb will not fix the issue. You need to have the entire headlamp replaced - no cheap. GM was replacing them for free for a short period for the models up through the 2015. For some reason they did not include the 2016, but even those have had issues. I strongly recommend calling your dealership. They should be VERY familiar with the issue.
How Cadillac got away with this is beyond me . This should have been a total recall . We change the bulbs and still like driving without lights . Always wanted a Cadillac never again . A total disappointment.
Honest answer?? Go too ebay and buy a brand new set.it will cost you $250.00 for the set..comes complete with all new bulbs too..this is what I did..and the new headlights do not have the leaky seal that the original equipment headlights do..these never take on any moisture..never..good luck

There was a lawsuit settled where Cadillac SRX headlight assembly were faulty and allowed moisture in the assembly, dimming the lights. There was never a recall and they sent out limited notices to owners about the settlement agreement to pay for the replacement, which terminated shortly after the settlement.

I replaced the headlights with the new Gm headlights. Cost me $2000 and they are still dim tuff to drive at night. Very dangerous
When the first recall came out, I tookmy 2014 SRX to my dealer in Dallas. They said my car was fine. I just assumed this was a case where maybe cartain production run’s were affected and let it go and forgot about it. A couple of years later reality struck and I started having the dim light problem. I retrieved my original recall letter and called the number listed and received a very terse recording telling me that Cadillac was done with this issue. Really? The dealership, Frank Kent in Fort Worth, offered this wonderful solution: replace the headlights for I believe $957.57 each plus lablor. That’s over $2500. I have owned five Caddies in my life, but never again. And I am too old to file some kind of lawsuit although one is definitely appropriate based on safety concerns.

Have the same issue. Changing the light bulb DID NOT fix the issue, so as other have stated, its probably the reflector, so you need to get a new headlamp assembly.
