There are several issues that could cause the service Advancetrac light to come on in a Ford Fusion. There are various sensors located in the steering and traction system that talk to the PCM and when traction loss is detected, the Advancetrac system will begin reducing the power and apply brakes to whatever wheel is slipping. If any of these sensors fail the system will be unable to monitor them, and the warning indicator light comes on. Check the wheel speed sensors, steering angle sensor or rotational speed sensor and verify the wiring connectors are in place and not damaged. There are other issues that could cause the light to come on such as issues within the steering rack like worn bushings, or a leaking power steering.

Usually the ford fusion advancetrac warning light needs to be diagnosed by a professional in order to clear it.
