You will need a rivet gun and a drill to secure the license plate bracket to the front bumper of Your Ford Escape. You will need to pre-drill the holes. Then slide the long end of the rivet into the gun. Line up the holes in the license plate bracket and then squeeze the rivet as hard as You can. The price for the bracket ranges from $15- $30. They also make brackets that are held by double-sided tape. These are not as durable as the ones that You mount with a drill.

Get a rivet gun to secure the bracket to bumper. You will need to pre-drill the holes, then slide the long end of the rivet into the gun. Then line up the holes in the license plate, and then squeeze the rivet as hard as you can.

If it is a 2019 and you get the bracket from Ford that comes with plastic pop rivets you will need a rivet gun that will accommodate 1/4" rivets (approx. $20). So mark the hole location on your bumper then drill a 1/4" hole at the 3 hole locations. Place the long end of the plastic rivet into the rivet gun/tool, then insert the shorter fatter end of the rivet through the bracket and into the bumper hole. Activate your rivet gun as instructed and repeat for the other 2 holes. Attach plate with screws in bracket kit. VOILA you are done!

I just got my front plate holder from Ford with no instructions included. David says 1/4 inch drill bit. That is what I was looking for. Thanks.
