You're obviously going to want to hope that when Your sunroof fails, it fails in the CLOSED position. In the case of the Ford Edge, if You're equipped with a sunroof, sometimes this isn't always the case. There's internal hardware that "locks" the open sunroof into place, and if the electrics go -- then You're stuck with a gap in Your roof that You won't be able to close electrically. Luckily, there's another way. You'll need to remove the interior headliner from the Edge, and that will give You access to the internal components of the sunroof. From there, You can determine what has gone wrong; usually, it's as simple as the belt jumping off of the track. If You fix the issue, then chances are You'll be able to close the sunroof.

Yes simply pry them gently with a flathead screwdriver until the sunroof motor is exposed and turn your allen wrench clockwise until the sunroof is closed and secure.
