How to open Jeep Patriot hood?

To open the hood on a Jeep Patriot You will need to grab the handle that says OPEN in the driver's footwell to release the hood. Once You grab that it will release the first latch to the hood. Now You will need to go around to the front of the hood and find the lever that is located in the middle of the hood. Move that to the side and then You can lift the hood the rest of the way up. Depending on the trim You will either have struts that will hold it in place, or a hood prop that You will need to use to hold it in place.
