To progRam a garage door opener to a Ford Escape, first turn on the car. Hold Your old transmitter a couple of inches away from the Homelink button You want to control Your garage door with. Now press the transmitter button and the Homelink button until the indicator light changes from a slow blink to a fast one. Press and hold the Homelink button that You want to control the garage door with for five seconds, then release. Your garage door should move, if not repeat the five second button hold. You will know progRamming is complete when the indicator light remains solid. Now just press and release the Homelink button to activate the garage door.

Press and hold the transmitter button and the homelink button you want to assign the garage door to at the same time. Watch the light on the homelink system. When it shifts from a slow blink to a fast blink, you can release the buttons. Press and hold the homelink button again, by itself, for 5 seconds.

Put your garage door opener right next to your homelink buttons. Press and hold the opener and the homelink button until the homelink button blinks fast. Then hold down the homelink button and your garage door should open after 5 seconds.
