The process of removing the exterior door handle on a 2016 Toyota Corolla is different on the front and back doors. To remove the front handle, open the door and remove the rubber grommet on the end of the door. Under the grommet You will see a T-30 torxBolt, remove it by rotating it counterclockwise. Remove the lock, wiggle it a bit an pull out. Grasp the handle and pull it towards the rear of the car and it will come right out. To remove the rear door handle, there are three T-30 torxBolts that hold the latch, remove them and slide the latch down. This will allow access to the handle bolt, it is above the latch. The handle will pull off the same as the front once this bolt is removed.

To replace the exterior door handle on a 2016 toyota corolla: pry open the switch panel using a screwdriver and pull it forward. Disconnect the switch panel and keep it aside. Now, pry open the armrest tab and also remove the mirror panel on the inside. Remove the two screws holding the armrest in place and also to remove the clips holding the door panel in place. Now take off the door panel and also pull back the water shield. Inside you will find a clip near the door handle, flip that clip off from the rod and pull the rod out. You will also find another clip near the lock, flip that clip off as well and pull the rod out. Remove the two 10mm bolts from the handle and the handle should now come out free. Switch the lock mechanism over to the new handle and fit the new handle into the slot where the old handle used to be. Finally, put all the clips, rods, screws and panels back in place.
