If the alarm has been activated in a Honda Civic, press the panic button on the key fob. If that doesnt work, try putting the key in the drivers door and rotate the lock to the left and then to the right. Either of these methods should turn the alarm off. If the battery has been disconnected, the security system will need to be reset. To do this, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the accessory position, but dont start it. Press and hold the security reset button for about three seconds, it is on the drivers kick panel, next to the hood release lever. The security light will stop flashing and remain solid.

To reset the honda civic alarm, insert the ignition key into the door lock on the driver side of the accord. Turn key to location unlock. Switch key to location of lock. Turn the key back to location of the unlock. The warning should be turned off now. Start the engine and let the car run for a total of 10 minutes.
