To reset the oil light on the 2008 Toyota Highlander You will need to go into the setting menu and find the oil option. Scroll down to the reset button and hit it. That said if You have low oil or need to change it then the light will keep coming back on. When performing an oil change on the car You will first want to make sure that the vehicle has been parked and off for a couple of hours. Otherwise, the oil in the car will be very hot and You could burn Yourself. Find the oil pan in the engine compartment and locate the drain plug on the underside. Position a bucket under the plug and then remove it. This will allow the oil to drain into the pan. Let it do this until it stops dripping, which may take an hour or so. After it has finished dripping You can put the drain plug back on, then locate the intake port on the top of the oil pan. Using a funnel fill the oil pan to full, but make sure to not overfill. A little under is fine, but going over can lead to leaks and oil burn off. Once it is full close the port up, wipe up any spilt oil and You will be finished.

To reset the oil light in a 2008 toyota highlander, turn the key to the on position without starting the vehicle. Press the trip button until you get to trip a. And turn the key off. Once, it's off, press and hold that reset button while turning the key back to the on position. The display will show it resetting until it's done.

Idk how Mike E’s answer is the best when it’s flat out wrong. There is no oil setting in any menu. Idk why you’re confidently giving incorrect information.
