If You have an ABS brake warning light on in the dash of Your Ford F-150 the first thing You will want to do is inspect Your brake system. If there are fluid leaks or worn out pads the light may turn on. If everything is okay then You can go ahead and reset the warning light. Resetting the system is pretty easy. First You need to put the vehicle in the on position with the engine off. After that You will need to disconnect the negative cable from the battery and allow it to be disconnected for ten minutes. This will allow the system to completely lose power and reset the next time that You start up the car.

Loosen the negative cable connection on the battery post with a 10 millimeter box wrench, and remove it.

To reset the brake warning lights, put the key into the ignition and then put it in the run position. Try loosening the cable and leave it disconnected for a few minutes.

‘On position’ is also known as the accessory position. Generally it is one click forwardwith the key, where the second position is ‘start’ In a keyless car, you get to ‘ON’ by pushing the START button without having your foot on the brake
