There are a couple ways to reset the oil light on the 2010 Ford F-150, one being doing it with the message center and the other doing it without. For without the message center the first thing You need to do is park it in a safe space and turn the ignition to the on position. Then press the select/reset stem button to display the message OIL LIFE = % HOLD RESET = NEW. Press and hold the select/reset stem button for 2 seconds to reset to 100% and then turn the ignition off. To do it with the message center the first thing You need to do is safely park and turn the vehicle to the run position. Find the controls to the left of the steering wheel and scroll through the menu with them. Use the up and down buttons to find settings and then vehicle. Select "OIL LIFE RESET %" and then select ok to reset and then turn the ignition off.

Turn the ignition on without turning on the engine. Press both the break and gas pedals at the same time. After a few seconds the screen should say "service: oil reset in prog." Keep pressing down on the break and gas for about 25 seconds until the screen says "service: oil reset complete". Release the pedals and turn off the car.
