To turn off auto park on a Ram 1500 first go to Uconnect screen, under settings, You see Brakes, tap on that and You will see auto park and just uncheck it. But what is auto park exactly. Parking assist, which is known by alternative terms like active park assist, refers to an automated parking aid which utilizes radar technology, cameras and sensors. It allows the car to do most of the work itself when parking into a spot located either in a car park or at the side of the road.Many new vehicles do come with sensors already factory-installed, but You can add them to most vehicles on the road today. The sensors mount in the front and rear bumpers in holes cut with a special drill bit that allows for a precise fit.
Carolyn is sadly incorrect. It's there and can't be turned off. It's a terrible feature I learned about AFTER I bought my 2020. Had I known, I'd have gone Silverado for this single reason

There is an option on the front main console that will allow you to do this. Go through the setting till you find it.
