Turning off the car alarm on a Hyundai Elantra is quite simple if You have the key fob -- You'll simply need to press either the lock, unlock, or alarm button a few times, and the siren should stop going off. However, things can get a little trickier if You don't have access to a key fob, but luckily the procedure is relatively simple once You know it. Found on page 1-5 of the owner's manual, You'll be able to disable the alarm without a fob by inserting the key into the ignition lock and turning it to the ON position. After 30 or so seconds, the alarm will be disabled. This can be annoying in the interim, but it takes a moment for the alarm to stop.

To turn off the alarm in your Hyundai Elantra, press the lock button twice on your keyfob and then the panic button.

I have a 2007 hyundai elantra and none of these things work.
