To turn off the interior lights in Your Ford F-150, You need to toggle the switch beside the lights from the ON position to the OFF position. This is typically a rocker style switch adjAccent to the dome lights. Even with this switch off, though, the lights will still come on when You open the door. This is by design, and You can't disable it. However, Your Ford dealership can. Ford offers a "dark mode", targeted at law enforcement officers, but available to the public, that turns off the interior lights when the door is opened, as well as the courtesy running/parking lights. The only caveat is that You will have to bring it into the dealer, as they need to toggle a setting in the onboard computer, and once this mode is set, the only way to change it back is to bring it into the dealer once more.

Just take out the bulbs if you do not want to go to the dealer, chances are if you don’t want them on you don’t need them lol

No it does not. You can hit that button as much as you want in my 2015. Will not turn off the lights . It's fun sitting there waiting for the lights to shutdown after exiting the truck. Pain in the a_sss. But in the xlt there is a door switch that worked this time. Next time who knows..... Junk.....

You need to flip the door latch with the door open and the lights will go off works on all types of vehicles then take and put a screwdriver back in push the way it’s supposed to open and at the same time pull the handle open and the latch should flip to the open position
