To progRam a single MyKey of a Ford Escape without the admin fob, You will need to employ the help of an OBDII scanner and a progRam like FORScan. Using the scanner and a device equipped with special software, reset the PCM to recognize Your single key as an admin key. Once completed You can set personal preferences for Audio and speed controls using conventional steps. Turn the new fob in the ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine. Access the information display's "settings" menu and using the "ok" button select "MyKey". Choose "Create MyKey". Hold down the "ok" button until a message asks You to label the fob in the ignition as Your "key". The fob is now progRammed and labeled.

What if there is no mykey option and there are no key fobs and I was given one key when I purchased a used2018 ford focus last weekend

You can disable mykey in a ford escape by first selecting the settings option. Then selecting the mykey option. Next find the clear mykey option. Finally hold the ok button until all mykeys are cleared.

Just use you homegroup e-mail key as a McHenry, then try the admin.key#.
