Ford's MyKey system is a convenient way to ensure that teenage drivers are safe when behind the wheel, or when say, someone borrows Your car. However, it's also important to know how and when to turn it off, as the restrictions can be inconvenient at best, and dangerous at worst. Luckily, the 2017 Ford Escape makes disabling simple. First, start Your car and wait for the computer to finish loading. On the main menu, select SETTINGS and press OK. Scroll to the "MyKey" option, and press OK to confirm. Then, scroll to the option that says "Clear MyKey", and press and hold OK to confirm. You'll see the message "All MyKeys Cleared" appear on the screen, and Your module will be successfully reset.

To reset the mykey, start by using the admin key to turn the car on. Press setup on the screen until you reach "press reset to clear mykey", you may then press and hold the reset button for two seconds until "all mykeys cleared" shows on the screen.
