If You happen to notice that the VTM4 system is locked on in Your Honda Pilot then You will want to disable it before You drive. There are a few different ways that You can disable the system. The first way is simply press the VTM4 button that is located on the dash next to the radio. The second way is to shift the drive selector lever to park and then back to drive while You are stopped. The third way is to turn off the vehicle and then turn it back on. If You notice that Your VTM4 light stays on even after all of that then it is usually a sign of a problem with the four wheel drive transfer case.

With car started, press the vtm-4 lock button on the dash. Put foot on break and shift car into drive. Turn car off and put car into park. The light should go off. It’s on page 520 of the manual.
