To operate the lights in a Ford Transit, move the three-position switch above the rearview mirror, The first position is for OFF, the second is for DOOR CONTACT and the third is for ON. When in the second position, the interior lights will illuminate when the doors are open, they will stay on for a short Period of time once the doors are closed. There is also a switch that controls the rear cargo light. If You open both rear doors, located in the door jam of the driver side You will see a rectangular switch plate, pushing in on it will either turn the rear cargo light off or on

The rear interior lights in a ford transit come on automatically when the door is opened. The front interior lights come on when you press a button above, in between the visors.

You have to find the switch either beside the actual light or at the front which will be a toggle type switch.
