How to unlock a ford escape door?

There are a number of ways to unlock the door on a Ford Escape. First, You can use Your manufacturer supplied key in the relevant door; turning it to the unlocked position should do a great job of unlocking the door. Alternatively, if You'd like to get a little feisty, You can press the "unlock" button on Your key fob -- once for the driver's door, and twice for all of the doors. Don't have access to a key or key fob No problem. Wedge open the driver's side door the to best of Your ability with a wedge shaped object, preferably a piece of wood. Then, take a slim jim or a metal coat hanger and try to fish up the manual door lock. It might not be pretty, but it works. And remember, take it as a lesson to have a spare key made!
