To reset the transmission control module in a Chevy Silverado 1500 begin by entering the key into the ignition and turning it to the second position , but do not start the engine. Now press the accelerator all the way down and hold it. After 10 or 12 seconds turn the ignition two off, but leave the key in the ignition. After the key is removed You can remove Your foot from the gas pedal. Wait for about 2 to 3 seconds and then rotate the key to start the engine.
