Throughout the Ford F-150 line of vehicle there has only been one recall for a coolant related reasons. This was in 2013, as some of the lines were showing abnormal amounts of degradation. It is unlikely that Ford is still replacing parts on a vehicle of this year, but it may be worth checking into. If You have a 2013 model You may consider having the coolant lines replaced on it, just as a precaution. If You do not then make sure that You keep an eye out for overheating or leaking under the car.

Several ford models were named in complaints recently, leading to an expected recall due to coolant leaks; fires resulting from cracked heads and overheating are the threat caused by this defect in the cooling system.

We have a 2015 F150 pickup that had to have the water pump replaced because it just quit pumping water. That was last spring. Now I,m trouble with weaks. I took the truck in for an oil change and was told that there was a leak from the coolant to the oil system. Now I have wait a week to get it checked at the ford dealership.
