There are not any active recalls on the Ford F-150 moonroof at all. There have been known problems with the moonroof either leaking or not opening and closing properly, but they have not issued any recalls. At this point in time Ford is takeng it at a case by case basis and deterMINIng what to fix or replace. Manufacturers generally issue recalls when they see a large number of failures in components. The moonroof problems with Ford have not crossed that threshold yet so nothing has been issued. Brands also usually issue recalls when the problem compromises the safety of the vehicle, and the moonroof problems have not done that either.

I don't understand how a $1800 option costs $3400 to repair my moonroof in my 2016 will not close all way so yes at leaks and Ford is going to replace the rail system. This is crazy!

I not happy with your answer in regarding the Sunroof . I've opened mine maybe six times and it leaks a lot of water. I've been a long time Ford person and so has of the rest of my family. Maybe I should start buying GMC or Chevy

This is a known problem with all F150s with the panoramic sunroof. The track rail system is plastic and seems cheaply made considering the large glass sunroof. Had mine replaced costing me $1800.00 from Ford just for the parts,$180 an hr for labor. Cost me 4000.00 for the repair. Total BS. There needs to be a recall.
I have a 2017 f150 with a moonroof which has stopped functioning. I have had to run duct tape around it. Ford wants $175 to determine the cause. Pure BS that I have to pay to determine problem and pay for obvious issue that should be recalled.

Traded in my 17 f150 platinum w/moonroof, out of the blue general manager says it's bad, cost $6000. To replace fix it, totally screwed my trade in value, a*****e should be fired by his owner.
I have a 2021 f150 with moonroof and it leaks out of the speaker hole and other place. Will never buy a ford again.

I have a 2016 Lariat bought used from dealership and purchased extended warranty for $2000 with Ford. Had no idea about the moonroof leak until it rained!! It poured in. Needs new rubber gaskets which means new window and the Ford warranty doesn’t cover it!! So if this is taken on a case by case basis what higher court at Ford do I take it to??? Very dissatisfied to say the least. Ford,please do the right thing by your customers. I don’t have the money to fix this issue.

I bought my17 f150 with moonroof from dealership they were supposed to fix when they got part first time I opened it I heard mental twisting up can’t believe it didn’t open 1 time before it broke again!!!!!

I have a 2015 Platinum that was repaired under warranty 2 times. It messed.up again within 3 months after the repair it stoped properly again. I too was told the recall nit issued as the plastic glides have not had a recall or the structure of the moonroof has not been determined out of spec. Total BS!
Sunroof has been all totally rebuilt and is still leaking. Totally agree with everyone, Ford needs to step up and fix the garbage and put some recalls out. Totally not impressed with them!

My 2015 has only 36000 on it sits in the garage 90% of time. Went to open sun roof heard the snapping of the side rail. No more works and no more buying Ford products.

2016 F150 lariatsupercrew, only opened maybe 20 to 30 times, c**p plastic rails cracked, cracked glass! $ 4700 fix! Did manage to get Ford to pay 60%! Still 1900 plus out of pocket!
