There was a recall for the Ford F-150 froM2018 to 2020. This was because the wiper motors were produced with a substandard amount of grease. This makes it so that the wiper motor will not move smoothly, which in turn can cause extra friction. In the short term, this could lead to damage to the glass, mostly minor scratching. In the long term, the wiper motor may be burned out or damaged. That said You can have this replaced for free if You contact Ford, so You should do this right away. If You pay for it Yourself then having this fixed will cost You about 600 for both the parts and the labor.

Ford recalled certain 2018-2020 f-150's due to the windshield wiper motor being produced without grease. Dealers will grease the motor for free if needed.
