The Ford F-150's P1000 code is indicated when an OBDII diagnostic scanner is unable to detect error codes due to a malfunction. It means the OBDII display was interrupted before the completion of an OBD drive cycle. Usually the scanner displays this message when a vehicle is factory new or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or battery has been disconnected. The error also reads if trouble codes have already recently been cleared. The best way to clear this message and re-calibrate the scan tool is to drive Your truck for 15 to 20 minutes so the diagnostic cycle can be completed. Seeing the P1000 code on the OBDII tool is not related to the vehicle's condition.

The p1000 dtc code is a manufacturer specific trouble code. In the case of ford & jaguar vehicles, it simply means that the obd-ii monitor testing is not complete. It is a similar meaning for mazda, which is obd-ii drive cycle malfunction.
