There has been a major issue with the transmission on the 2010 Ford Expedition and because of it Ford has issued a service bulletin however they have not issued a full recall for it. The problem with the transmission is is that when You are downshifting it may have a delay and then when it finally goes through it will be a rough one and will cause a cranking noise. Other issues with the transmission include it going through it's fluids faster than it should so go ahead and keep an eye on Your fluid levels as much as You can.

If the 2010 ford expedition is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
