Some of the 2011 Ford Expedition transmission problems are that some vehicles built between 4/15/2011-6/8/2011 may experience a transmission fluid leak coming from the bell housing area. Some vehicles may experience a noticeable delay when trying to engage a forward or reverse gear from Park. This can happen with the vehicle is cold. The solution was to install a newly updated transmission pump assembly. If Your Ford Expedition can still make it up and down the road, You might say Its fine, Ill just drive it until I can get it fixed. But that is not always a good idea, depending on the symptoms. There are a lot of (very expensive) moving parts inside of a transmission, and if something isnt right, continuing to drive with a transmission problem could damage something else.

If the 2011 ford expedition is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
