The most common problem with the door locks in the 2013 VW Beetle is usually caused by a problem with the door lock actuators. When the actuators start to fail it leads to the locks not being able to be engaged and that can result in them not working. Another problem that can come up are problems with the actual lock assembly itself. When this has problems it will prevent the lock from latching on the door and that will need to be replaced to get it working properly again as well. The final problem could be with the body control module. This is what controls the locking system on your vehicle and if there are problems there it will not work.

The issue with the door locks on the 2013 vw beetle is that they may fail to get power, making it so that they will lock or unlock with out the drivers control.
