The 2014 Dodge Ram's ignition may experience malfunction at around 80,000-100,000 miles due to a faulty WIN or "wireless ignition node module". Chrysler actually recalled this part on certain models of the 2009-2010 Dodge Journey and 2008-2010 Dodge Grand Caravan. When failure happens the transmitter may not turn over the engine or power the lights and radio when in the "acc" position. The remote will not open or lock doors or perform a remote start if equipped. The security light may flash off and on in the instrument panel and turning the switch will produce intermittent clicking noises. In almost all cases the WIN must be replaced. Cost to replace the wireless ignition node module in a Dodge Ram averages between $300-$400 in parts and labor.

If the 2014 dodge ram has a bad ignition switch then it will not start, or will struggle to start. This can be caused by a broken switch, or bad wires going to the switch.
