The 2015 GMC Acadia Denali transmission problems are usually either caused by a mechanical or computer problem. The type of problem that You are having will help determine whether or not it is a mechanical or computer problem. Usually if the vehicle's transmission is making a lot of noise and shifting roughly between gears that is a mechanical problem. When a gear gets damaged the vehicle will make a lot of noise. If the vehicle is hesitating while shifting between gears, or feels like it is hunting for a gear that usually means that there is a problem with the transmission control module. There is a computer that is on the top of the transmission that helps it shift between gears and if this fails it can lead to problems.

The 2015 gmc acadia denali had problems with the torque converter that the solenoid clutch can stick to due to debris in the transmission. When the vehicle comes to a stop at the end of the coast, the stuck solenoid will fail to release the torque converter clutch.
