If the 2016 Chevy Impala has issues with the power steering then it will be really stiff and hard to turn. This can be caused by two common issues, the first being a leak in the line. This is the less common reasons but should be checked. The other is that there is not enough fluid and You will need to put more in. To change the power steering fluid You will need to first locate the container, which will be under the hood near the window. It will be a clear plastic container. Using a pump You will want to extract all of the fluid from the container. Once the fluid gets low You will want to turn the steering wheel, all the way to one side, then all the way to the other. This will cause the fluid in the wheel to drain into the container, remove this as well. Once the container is dry You can go ahead and fill it to the full line, but not over. It will take a little bit for the wheel to loosen up, so try driving for about 20 minutes to make sure it worked.

A common power steering problem facing the 2016 Chevy impala is leaks due to the high pressure of the system combined with the soft hoses carrying the fluid.
