Some of the most common transmission problems with the 2017 AudiA4 is is due to a lack of fluid. The A4 does not have a transmission dipstick it needs to be serviced by the dealer. It's been reported that repair shops have failed to properly tighten the fill plug when replacing the transmission fluid. This causes the fluid to leak out. It seems to happen more so when at highway speeds because of the pressure buildup inside the transmission. This will cause the transmission to slip and potentially skip gears when shifting. Other problems have been due to failed speed sensors which controls the speed at which the transmission will shift into different gears.
