The 2017 Chevy Spark transmission problems are delayed shift and slipping. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache. The transmission is one of the most crucial parts of the vehicle. You will come into issues at some point. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration issues. The transmission might slip. You could experience shudders. Hard shifts could arise and that is not good. There may be jerking. The gears might become stuck. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be fixed quickly.

CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED SUDDENLY AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON
20167 spark/manual/HAD issues w/up shifting into 3rd along w/obvious malfunction of that idiot light since purchase- --due to local GM dealership claims "unable to replicate" this made IT my problem ? Then followed by burning stench again GM unable to replicate finally leading to total transmission problems brought on by clutch/transmission issue which gm failed to acknowledge. Vehicle disabled,GM CAN"T FIX*******CANNOT EVEN OBTAIN NECESSARY TOOLS FOR REPAIR unless willing to spend more than $1000 for TOOLS******* not parts & labor, TOOLS. Can't even find loaners the same. HELLO LEMON LAW !

If the 2017 Chevy spark is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.

I think the problem is the automatic transmission! Minehas a 5 speed manual transmission and no problems

I just got a 2017 spark. I have no problems with getting it upto speed at all. I've been reading these posts, and the main problem I see is they are automatic. Mine is a 5 speed manual shift. If I'mon an entrance ramp to the interstate Ican hit 70 75mph just as I merge onto the interstate. Try manual transmission
